Description: Oscar Regan Coast was an American landscape painter. This artist was trained and studied in both Paris and Rome. After his studies, he moved back to the United States and spent a majority of his career painting the landscapes of New York, most commonly New York City. This oil painting in particular, features a white house with a tree beside it. The hazy warm color palette of this painting is common for this artist, as many of his other works have a warm sunset or more yellow tones. This very small, yet greatly detailed piece is in excellent condition and comes without a frame. This work is signed “Coast” in the bottom left, like many of his other pieces that have sold.
