Creation Year: c. Late 20th Century

Dimensions: 11.5×14.5 inches

Style: Abstract

Period: Late 20th Century

Condition: Excellent

Description: This abstract Japanese watercolor is signed lower left. It is unknown who the signature is by, however it is likely the signature of a Japanese school. This Work depicts the words “dawn of man” as well as a black and brown dog. This is a spectacular watercolor for this price and is in great condition. It comes with matting, but no frame. The black calligraphy is typical of this style and has the Japanese stamp signature in orange. There are pieces with the same stamp, with different painting styles suggesting that this is from a school rather than one artist. The English writing suggests that it could also be a Japanese-American school. Absolutely wonderful example of a more contemporary Japanese watercolor!
