He is famous for his American impressionist landscape scenes and his palettes and brushstrokes often give the vista a dreamy tone. He accomplishes this through pastel colors and wispy brushstrokes. He studied art in New York among many other prominent American impressionist artists. He later relocated to Georgia to teach at art schools. This painting was done on his trip in Italy where he focused on painting the architecture and floral views of this country. This painting is very well done and in excellent condition. It is signed lower right and comes with frame.
