She studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Arts at Washington University where she worked with and was inspired by many other learning artists. In a newspaper article she claimed that she could not work “without the stimulation” of her peers. She contributed to many exhibitions and shows both nationally and in her hometown and was a very loved impressionist artist.
